Each visitor to the Center during the weekend was given a chance for their favorite quilt, and Souhrada’s quilt won the best of show at the Welcome Center. One of the richest annual events hosted by the American Quilter’s Society is the international quilt show and contest April 23-26 in Paducah, Ky. The Leduc County resident has made the semi finals of the prestigious event with the striking work she calls “African Curves. To bring African Curves to light, Ohlmann bought a painted panel of silhouettes from a South African artist.
