Quilter creates masterpieces for libraries (Urbana Gazette)(quilting patterns)

Rose Hahn of Frederick has created multiple quilts that hang in Frederick County Public Libraries. Burr Artz Public Library in downtown Frederick and one at the Thurmont Regional Library. Beautiful workmanship," said Pat James, an Urbana Regional Library associate and member of the quilting club. Erin Dingle, branch manager at the Thurmont Regional Library, feels the same way about the custom quilt that hangs there. In fact, her biggest achievement, literally, was a 26-foot by 40-foot quilt that was used as a stage backdrop for the 1992 Frederick Community College production of "Quilters. She is now working on a private project with the Just Us Club, a group of nine local quilters that meets once per month, and is in the beginning stages of designing another quilt for the C.

A Victorian Village featuring decorated trees, music, arts and crafts, shops, heirloom quilts and more will take place from 10 a. Quilt Sew-ciety hosting Trunk Show and Workshop Nov. Members of Quilt Sew-ciety will be hosting a Trunk Show and Workshop with quilt designer, Heather Mulder-Peterson, owner of Anka’s Treasures, from Spicer, Minn. Cost will be $5 for the Trunk Show to non-members of the Quilt Sew-ciety. Cost to non-members of the Quilt Sew-ciety will be $20 to attend the class. She began her own quilting business, called Anka’s Treasures in 1996 doing machine quilting and publishing quilt patterns. If you would like to attend the workshop, you may pick up fabric requirements at Inspired by Time Quilt Shop before Saturday, Nov.
