The Altavista Area Chamber of Commerce is tapping into the popularity of quilting by hosting its own festival next spring. The Altavista Quilt Festival will be held Saturday, May 2, at the Booker Building in English Park from 9 a. Quilt vendors will be on hand with fabric and patterns, classes will be offered at the train station throughout the day and a quilt turning will be held.
