From one type of stitching to another - Kawartha Media Group (blog)(quilting patterns)

Last week, she shared 25 of her quilts with the Trent Evening Quilters that ranged from her initial creations to those that are still waiting to be quilted. Years ago, one of Barb’s friends confided that by the time her children married and had children, Barb would likely be too old to make them quilts for the babies. However, with more children joining the clan year after year, Barb doesn’t want to quilt it until the tree is complete, so it remains in her care. Barb also treated herself to one of her embroidered masterpieces with a floral fabric that she embellished with extra stitching. The embroidered panels begin with when the couple met as small children and includes scenes from them tobogganing on Armour Hill in Peterborough, their wedding day and them paddling off to a wonderful life together. The couple use the quilt every day and were reluctant to even give it up for Barb to show it to her fellow quilters.
