Quilt guild sews up successful show (Grand Traverse Herald)- About: quilting patterns
Hosted every three years by the Rumpled Quilts Kin guild, the event drew around 800 attendees and also featured 14 vendors. Attending the event with her mother, Jan Brege, who had three quilts in the show and noted ideas for future projects, Griggs marveled at the abilities on display. This year members created two quilts, with Mary Ryman winning the Dear Jane Quilt and Elsie Bear the applique quilt. Veteran quilter Evelyn Gerring of South Boardman has been a member of the Rumpled Quilts Kin guild for ten years, calling the women there almost like a family.
