Some folks have a head start, and they’ll be showing off their history quilt projects Saturday and Sunday at the Senator John Heinz History Center’s Quilter’s Weekend. By drawing in crayon on muslin or piecing other fabrics, children will be able to create their own quilt blocks for inclusion in the History Center’s 250th birthday quilt. Adult quilters are joining in, too, said the center’s Terri Blanchette, who organized the Quilter’s Weekend.
