(quilting patterns) Quilting success started suddenly - Carlisle Sentinel
She started quilting as a hobby, Buckley says, but when her husbandâs job moved them out of Carlisle in 1986, they decided she should try her hand at running a small quilting shop in the Philadelphia area. That, Buckley says, gave her time to write her first quilting book, design new quilts and enter competitions. Teaching gave her a chance to use the skills she had learned in college, Buckley says, and these days sheâs teaching all over the United States. Part of that attitude stems from all the contact she has with different quilting groups, Buckley says, explaining that she enjoys the camaraderie and likes knowing that the groups are doing good.
