Quilt blocks became a method of communication used by the Underground Railroad as its associates assisted escaping slave seeking freedom. These quilt messages will be the topic at a special program planned at the Williamson Public Library at 5 p. A reception will follow sponsored by Southern West Virginia Community College and the NAACP. The program is part of Harmony 365, a weeklong celebration of diversity held annually during Black History Month, presented by the NAACP and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.
