Kathleen Bentley Tackett of Blaze Branch, Dorton, is a seamstress and a quilter. The daughter of Joe Bentley of Myra and the late Fronie Bentley, Tackett grew up at Dorton and attended Dorton Elementary and high school. Kathleen has been married to Phil Tackett, a retired trucker, for 32 years. A knee replacement four years ago gave Kathleen the incentive she needed to take up quilting .
