Bobbie’s Bobbin Quilting & Fiber Art Shop will host a Trunk Show and Open House at the shop from 5 to 9 p. Co-owner Bobbie Stendel said, “We’ll have a drawing every hour for a different door prize, and the grand prize will be one paid admission to a Ricky Tims quilt seminar in Farmington, worth $174, but you must be present to win! While Bobbie Stendel concentrates her attention on the wants and needs of customers that quilt and sew, husband Gary focuses on custom embroidery. A lover of what she and thousands of others call “fiber art,” Stendel said, “At the open house, there’ll be weaving, knitting and beading demonstrations throughout the evening, with experts on color, appliqué, weaving, quilting and beading here to answer questions. Bobbie’s Bobbin regularly offers knitting, quilting, sewing, and appliqué classes, and Stendel invites people to come in any Saturday morning to work on their projects at one of the big tables in the shop where she can help.
