Darlene Bakos stands in front of her award-winning quilt, Diamond Feathers Nine, which will compete for honors in the 2007 American Quilter’s Society Quilt Exposition Aug. The quilt, Diamond Feathers Nine, was selected as a semifinalist for the 2007 AQS Quilt Exposition to be held Aug. Diamond Feathers Nine measures 75 inches wide by 85 inches long, was pieced by Bakos and quilted by Debbie McMurray, of Alcoa. It consists of 1,600 squares measuring two and one-half inches each, with the completed quilt measuring 103 inches by 103 inches. read more
