Tramp entered another block of the month project she had completed, a flower block, at fair time in Cedar County and won Best of Show this year. Souhradra’s finished Lewis & Clark quilt was displayed at a quilt show at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center for a month. Each visitor to the Center during the weekend was given a chance for their favorite quilt, and Souhrada’s quilt won the best of show at the Welcome Center. The best quilt across the country from the Lewis & Clark block of the month project was also on display. The Lewis & Clark quilt was only the third quilt she had made but when she tried a new border using the flying geese pattern - a quilting technique she had not tried yet - the quilt became a standout from the others. read more
